About Remove PDF Metadata

PDF metadata can include fields such as title, author, subject, keywords, creator, and producer. Cleaning these common fields is helpful before sharing drafts, client files, invoices, or documents created from personal devices.

This tool creates a new PDF copy with common document metadata cleared while keeping the visible pages unchanged. It is designed for everyday privacy cleanup, not forensic sanitization of every possible hidden object inside a complex PDF.

Processing happens in the browser, so the file does not leave your device. The original PDF remains untouched, and you can review the cleaned copy before sending it to someone else.

For stronger protection, combine metadata cleanup with Encrypt PDF. If the file contains editable form fields, Flatten PDF can help turn them into fixed page content before sharing.
