About Flatten PDF

Flattening a PDF turns editable form fields into fixed page content. It is commonly used after filling forms, signing documents, or preparing files for archiving so recipients do not accidentally change the entered values.

The first version focuses on AcroForm fields, which are the standard editable fields used by many PDF forms. It does not promise to flatten every advanced annotation, layer, script, or interactive element found in complex PDFs.

Browser-based flattening keeps the file local. The PDF is parsed, updated, and saved on your device, and the original file is not modified.

For a practical workflow, fill or sign the PDF, flatten it, then optionally remove metadata before sending the final copy.
